We operate under the protections and restrictions of the Wyoming Food Freedom Act, which insulates Douglas Markets and Producers from oversight by the USDA.  Insofar as products are produced, sold, and consumed within the borders of the State of Wyoming, there is no intrastate commerce which would require oversight by a federal agency of the US Government.  

We owe a permanent debt of gratitude to  Sue Wallis and her husband, as well as the state Senators and Representatives whose commitment to liberty provided Wyoming with what has been widely praised as "The best cottage food law in America."

Here is what Consumers need to know, and what they consent to, when purchasing at Douglas Markets:

• Consumables are produced in a home kitchen or facility NOT INSPECTED by the USDA.
• Douglas Markets is NOT a Producer; Douglas Markets facilitates transactions between Producer and Consumer.
• Item quality and freshness is the responsibility of each Producer, not Douglas Markets.
• In the event of Consumer dissatisfaction or other disputes, Douglas Markets will, at its discretion, provide mediation services between Producer and Consumer.
• Violence or threats of violence are not permitted on any Douglas Markets properties, including digital properties.
